Welcome to Adel, Iowa! Adel is a town of about 4,000 people and is located about 30 minutes west of Des Moines right off of Highway 6.
Inside the town borders you will find a Fareway and a Family Dollar for any grocery needs. Despite this towns small size, there is a lot of entertainment packed inside. There are a few local dining options you’ll be sure to enjoy such as Patrick’s restaurant, the Brick Street Books and Cafe. Not to mention the Penoach Vineyard and Winery! The Raccoon River Valley Trail runs through Adel. The town also has two parks, Kinnick-Feller Riverside and Evans Park, as well as the fantastic Aquatic Center during the summer months!
The Maple Ridge neighborhood is in a secluded and quiet location south of Adel’s center. The residents of this area love the family friendly and safe feeling that this neighborhood possesses. Maple Ridge is actually located south of Adel’s center, near De Soto, so not only will you be near Adel’s amenities but also De Soto. These include a Casey’s, Ambro’s Restaurant, as well as Little Bridge Park. Adel is part of the ADM School District, and is home to the majority of the school buildings.
