Welcome to Woodward, Iowa! A small town of over 1500 people sits about 30 minutes from downtown Des Moines and is about 5 minutes away from Grimes and Perry, conveniently located off of Highway 141. Woodward neighbors small town Granger and in many ways are very similar. Both towns sit in the heart of Dallas County. Woodward is part of the Woodward-Granger school district where it houses the middle and high school, while Granger houses the recently built elementary school.

The High Trestle trail also starts in Woodward and winds its way into Ankeny. The trail is 25 miles long with its popularity due to the 130-foot-tall High Trestle Bridge. On any given day, the trail is filled with bikers, walkers, and runners enjoying the great outdoors. Woodward is a town full of opportunity and will make you feel right at home!
