Welcome to Dallas Center!
Dallas Center is often referred to as “quietly progressive” and is located 20 miles northwest of the greater Des Moines area and 9 miles west of Grimes. This town consists of roughly around 1600 people.
Although Dallas Center is a small town, it has plenty to offer! You will have a tight knit community feel as you set off into the town. Two large parks are positioned on the east and west side of town. Memorial park sits on the east side consisting of plenty of open space to roam around or play a game of fetch with your dog. It also has playground equipment, 9-hole disc golf course, and a basketball court. On the opposite side of Dallas Center, sits Mound park. This park includes plenty of shelters, playground equipment, a gazebo, and tennis and volleyballs courts. During the summer months, Mound Park also has a roller skating rink open to utilize. Dallas Center offers several other activities for the residents to enjoy, such as the library and the Lena Moser Memorial swimming pool open daily in the summer.
Dallas Center is also home to the Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District buildings. These schools offer excellent education for grades K-8. Children are exposed to high quality academic programs, sports, and fine arts. The school system also offers before and after school care in a fun and friendly environment.
